Senegalese Business Delegation Visits Sennan Electric; Agreement Reached on Power Distribution Equipment for Solar-plus-Storage Systems

Recently, business partners from the Senegalese company SUDPAY visited Chongqing Sennan Electric Co., Ltd. This meeting represented not only a deep alignment of business operations but also a pivotal step for Sennan Electric in entering the West African new energy market and establishing supply channels for solar-plus-storage equipment in Africa.

 

During the discussions, the Senegalese partners highlighted specific pain points in their local market. Senegal faces challenges regarding the stability of its power supply; consequently, urban areas and mining sites frequently rely on solar power combined with energy storage systems to mitigate outages. The local climate—characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, and strong winds carrying sand and dust—often causes short circuits and metal corrosion in standard electrical cabinets. Furthermore, due to a lack of local manufacturers producing complete sets of power distribution equipment in West Africa, most cabinets for solar-plus-storage projects are imported from China. The clients inquired about key aspects such as technical specifications for grid-tied solar and energy storage electrical equipment, export packaging, overseas certifications, and technical support services. In response, the Sennan Electric team provided detailed explanations regarding customized solutions tailored to West Africa's specific operating conditions.

 

Following the discussions, Sennan Electric’s technical lead accompanied the clients on a tour of the production workshop. The workshop displayed finished high- and low-voltage complete switchgear, specialized box-type substations for solar applications, and electrical control cabinets for energy storage systems. Technicians showcased cabinet samples and introduced design upgrades specifically engineered for Africa's harsh environment—such as thickened, anti-corrosive cold-rolled steel plating, fully sealed dust-proof structures, and wide-range overload protection modules. They also demonstrated the operational logic of the equipment's remote cloud monitoring and intelligent control systems, including automatic power-off upon overload.
